The Omron 10 Plus Series is a blood pressure monitor which advertises itself as being more of a multipurpose item which takes care of a variety of different tasks often handled by a variety of different pieces of equipment. While it may not be able to replace every other health product outright, it can handle a wide variety of health and fitness tasks. Simply put, the Omron 10 Plus functions well as a blood pressure monitor and functions even better as a versatile piece of health and fitness equipment.

Through its ability to monitor one’s blood pressure, heart rate and even pick up on a few health issues you may have not even thought about checking for in the first place, you can be sure you’re getting a good bang for your buck, assuming you could make good use of its vast list of features to begin with. Otherwise, let’s just take a look at some of its more basic specs to see how it functions purely as a blood pressure monitor and see if it’s the product for you.
Comfort
In terms of its overall level of comfort, the Omron 10 Plus is truly nothing to write home about. Now, I’m not going to come out and say it’s downright uncomfortable to use (because it isn’t), though I will say there’s nothing overly groundbreaking to be said of the feeling you’ll get on your arm while wearing it. It isn’t particularly padded, nor is it the absolute lightest blood pressure monitor on the market. On the other hand, it comes in a nice size and does nothing to make the user uncomfortable in any way. In other words, nobody will buy – or refrain from buying – the Omron 10 Plus due to its level of comfort alone.
Blood Pressure Reading Accuracy
By sorting through previous reviews of the Omron 10 Plus laid forth by past and present customers, you’ll notice little to none in the way of disgruntled customers due to a lack of accuracy in the unit’s blood pressure readings. In the event that something does go wrong, the manufacturer is more than willing to resolve the issue, which is something we want to see in health products. To be safe, it can’t hurt to compare your first few readings to those of drugstore blood pressure monitors for your own peace of mind. Either way, this is a very accurate product.
Durability
If there’s anywhere where the Omron 10 Plus most excels above similar products, it’s in the realm of durability and longevity. This is an important thing to look for in a health device, being that your life may very well depend upon the life of the unit. Luckily, that should not prove to be an issue here. Even just by looking at the unit, you’ll notice immediately that it is constructed of durable materials. As for the software, there tends to be little in the way of complaints regarding its ability to function, which is certainly a good thing to see.
Warranty Information
The warranty on the Omron 10 Plus isn’t exactly outstanding. Although it’s not the most expensive unit on the market, it would be nice to see a little more in the way of consumer protection. While most of the materials used in the Omron 10 Plus’ make are covered for five years, the arm cuff is only covered for one. Considering that said coverage only applies to manufacturing deficits (mistakes made on behalf of the company), this doesn’t exactly say a whole lot in terms of the manufacturer’s confidence in their product. Luckily, the arm cuff is rather durable and should easily outlive the warranty.
Overall Summary
As an overall health device, the Omron 10 Plus is perfect. It has many advanced features often not found in traditional blood pressure monitors and may even save you money through being able to cover more bases, thus reducing your need of buying other health products. It tends to be very accurate and durable, which is what it all boils down to when we’re talking about the state of our health. While it may not have the best warranty out there, it should certainly prove to be a winner for many folks who care about their overall health.
